How has your transition from a soft summer to autumn been? Perhaps you were ready to get back in the swing of things, or perhaps you're still holding on to the bliss of the warmer months. Either way, this month's Skincare Blühprint will guide you in transforming your routine tasks into something more special.
For September's Skincare Blühprint, we are seeking to transform routines to rituals. As with most shifts, this one is all about mindset. As we ease into fall, and the rhythms of a new season, we invite you to approach your daily tasks and responsibilities with a little more joy, a little more gratitude, a little more grace, and a little more whimsy.
Make the shift from routine to ritual with us:
- Make a change in your physical environment: Whether you're procrastinating on a work project, feeling buried under three loads of laundry that need folding, or waffling on a decision that needs to be made, a change in your physical environment can help you gain a more positive, productive mindset. That may mean moving into a different room or space, opening a window, putting on a new playlist, or lighting a beautiful candle.
- Adjust your pace: Actively slowing down may go against our modern day instincts... but it also allows us to accomplish our daily tasks (yes, even that laundry!) with more intention and a higher level of mindfulness. Slowing down allows us to notice and appreciate things we may miss if we're cruising along to the next item on your list.
- Engage your intuition: Are you following a set of rules or schedule because that's how you've always done it? Now is a great time to lean into your intuition and mix things up a little. Start with your skincare, for example. You know your skin, and you know how it feels on any given day. Let your intuition lead and switch things up a little. This may mean trying a new product or experimenting with a new combination of products.
- Start small: Mindset shifts are not all or nothing. Start small with one of your daily tasks or routines, and practice and experiment until it feels like something bigger than just a task to check off. What feels easy one day, may not the next... and that's very ok!
